New Hope New Horizons News

Earlier this fall, some little painted rock creatures began popping up in various locations in Keene.

These cute gnomes were created by the participants and staff of the New Hope program. Did you happen to see one around town?

In other program news: New Hope New Horizons welcomed  intern Cael Guilford. Cael is a Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling graduate student at Antioch University New England interning with us in her third and final year before graduation. The collaboration between New Hope and Antioch University’s Dance Movement Therapy program has grown strong over the past 20 years. The faculty of the Dance Movement Therapy program serve as Creative Director, Choreographer, and main Facilitator for the annual spring performance put on by the clients of New Hope New Horizons.

In her role with New Hope, Cael runs a morning movement group three days a week, intended to assist clients in transitioning from their homes in the community to their daily programming at New Hope. Through stretching and moving together, clients and staff are able to use movement and community-connection to promote emotional expression, relieve stress, engage in body-healthy activity, and have fun! Additionally, Cael provides indirect support to staff by assisting in numerous ventures including program and project creation and management, scheduling platform and technology development, funding acquisitions, and the creation and compilation of stress management resources. We are fortunate to have Cael to assist us!
