Sullivan County Transportation is seeking a safety oriented part-time Transit Driver. This position requires the safe driving of passengers on a scheduled route. Must be able to communicate with passengers and dispatchers and be a team player. Hours for this position vary based on the need for the program. Starting pay is $17.00 an hour.

Applicants must have a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. Drivers are subject to random drug tests as required by the FTA, must be able to pass all background checks, and all training that is mandated by the FTA and NHDOT.

In this position, the ability to sit for long periods of time is necessary. Must also be able to assist with the loading and offloading of passengers on a lift, and secure mobility devices on the bus. Transit drivers are responsible for doing a full pre-trip inspection of their bus daily and are required to keep their buses fueled and clean.
