SCS Head Start is seeking a Part‑Time Nurse Consultant to support the health services component of our Head Start program. This is a contractual position ideal for a Registered Nurse who is knowledgeable, flexible, and enjoys working collaboratively with early childhood staff, children, and families.

The Nurse Consultant provides professional nursing consultation and support to the SCS Head Start Program to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards related to children’s health. Working with minimal supervision, the Nurse Consultant supports staff, families, and managers by reviewing Individual Health Plans (IHPs), completing on-site medical services reviews, and providing health education to staff and families. This role supports overall program quality by ensuring safe, consistent, and compliant health practices across all Head Start centers in Claremont, Jaffrey, Keene, Newport, and Swanzey, NH.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $36.50 per hour, with an anticipated commitment of 20–25 hours per school year (August-June). The Nurse Consultant works independently while being supported by our Health, Safety & Nutrition Services Manager.
