Southwestern Community Services

Community Foods

SCS is proud to announce the newly developed Community Food Programs!

This department began providing lunches to children in the summer of 2020 through the Summer Foods Program. There will be ongoing expansion of these efforts next summer in 2021. The Community Food Program will also be responsible for our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), which provides ongoing food boxes to hundreds of senior households throughout Cheshire County and Sullivan County.

SCS and our Community Food Program staff look forward to ongoing collaboration with area food coalitions, pantries, and school districts to provide additional support and resources through our collective efforts to ensure that the members of our communities do not suffer from food insecurity.
