Our
Programs
Services
are provided by SCS in partnership with other state and
local agencies, utilizing federal and state funding, as
well as funding from the Workforce
Investment Act. Services are provided at SCS offices and
at the NH One-Stop Job and Information Centers. They
include career guidance and planning, labor market
information, workplace skill identification and job
search and placement. General eligibility criteria are
as follows:
Adult
Workers - Adults experiencing difficulty
obtaining or retaining employment to provide wages that
lead to self sufficiency.
Dislocated
Workers - Workers experiencing difficulty
finding employment, those laid off due to closures,
individuals collecting or exhausted unemployment benefits.
Alternative
Work Experience Program (AWEP) Site - SCS is a
sponsor site for the AWEP Program Of New
Hampshire Employment. This is designed to allow the NH
Employment Program participants the chance to gain some
much needed work experience. SCS will provide a vast
array of work opportunities. Application

Families @ Work
Program(F@W) -
F@W operates in partnership with the Department of
Health & Human Service - Division of Family
Assistance. F@W offers individuals who are no longer
receiving TANF cash assistance additional support
during their transition to employment. General
eligibility requirements apply. F@W areas covered by
Southwestern Community Services include Keene,
Claremont, Concord, and Nashua.

Work Place
Success Training -
Employment program that provides assistance with job
readiness, resumes, computer training, and job search to
eligible individuals. Southwestern Community Services,
Inc. provides Workplace Success Training sites in
Cheshire and Sullivan counties.
Work
Experience Program -
Employment program that works closely with Workplace
Success Training to develop and secure meaningful work
experience for individuals within the community to build
employment references, job skills, and work experience
as well as the possibility of employment and/or
training. Ongoing support is available for both the
volunteer and the host site to ensure a positive work
experience. Southwestern Community Services, Inc.
provides the Work Experience Program in Cheshire and
Sullivan counties.
