Southwestern Community Services, Inc is accepting proposals for the provision of meal service to the Keene Head Start Program beginning on or about January 1, 2009. Proposals will be accepted until August 15, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. At this time proposals will be opened publicly in the SCS conference room located at 69 Z Island Street, Keene, NH 03431. Proposals should be mailed or delivered to:

Head Start Program:

SCS Head Start is child and family development program serving 3 to 5 year olds in a preschool setting. We have centers in Ashuelot, Claremont, Drewsville, Jaffrey, Keene, Newport, and Swanzey. We also may accept families with children who have disabilities regardless of income and those on the NH Healthy Kids Gold insurance program.

  Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP):

EFAP provides USDA Surplus foods to local soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters and emergency feeding organizations.
