Workplace Success Career Center Program Specialist:

WORK THAT MATTERS. Want to make a real difference in the lives of single parents working to make better lives for themselves and their children? Southwestern Community Services is looking for a dynamic Program Specialist to join the NHEP Workplace Success Team.

While working in a classroom environment in our various Career Centers and using an extensive and proven curriculum, you will help parents receiving public assistance with career planning, job search, gaining vocational skills, and much more. This may include problem-solving with barriers to employment. You may also develop career-related Work Experience and On-the-Job Training opportunities with area employers for program participants.

Strong customer service and communications skills a must. Reliable transportation required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Full-time position offering $18.05-$19.11/Hour DOE. Monday-Friday 8am-4pm based in Claremont, NH. SCS offers excellent health & dental insurance, 403(b) pension match, ongoing training, mileage reimbursement, paid time off and other benefits.

Intake Technician:

SCS is currently seeking 2 full time year-round benefited Fuel Assistance Intake Technicians. One position will be located in Keene, NH and the other position in Claremont, NH. This position assists families with all aspects of applying for the Fuel Assistance Program. This is a fast paced position requiring professional, courteous and effective communication with clients, staff and partner agencies. Strong organization, computer and customer service skills are required. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30pm.

Accounts Payable Bookkeeper:

Southwestern Community Services is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized, detail-oriented accounts payable professional to join their Fiscal Team. This is a full time, hourly position, located in Keene, NH.

This position is responsible for the daily data entry of accounts payable invoices for SCS and its related limited partnership. Along with data entry is a need to maintain the database of vendors and a large, detailed filing system. This position requires an extreme attention to detail, ability to multi-task, work in a busy environment and an ability to communicate professionally. Prior A/P work experience and use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

New Hope New Horizons Community & Employment Specialist:

Southwestern Community Services, Inc. is seeking a direct support professional with a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible to join our New Hope New Horizons Program. This is a full-time, hourly position, located in the Keene office with travel in Cheshire County and the Monadnock Region.

This Community & Employment Specialist position requires the ability to assist consumers with developmental disabilities in the development of, and participation in, meaningful community activities, both vocational and recreational. Respecting confidentiality and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both consumers and staff is necessary. A clean criminal background check and good driving record are required.

Part-Time Teachers’ Assistant:

Southwestern Community Services Head Start is seeking qualified candidates to immediately fill the part-time Teachers’ Assistant position.

-Teacher’ Assistant to work in both Swanzey and Ashuelot, two to three days in each center
