Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide decent, safe and affordable housing for those individuals who are income eligible under the program guidelines and who meet our Tenant Selection criteria. 

We provide referrals to services in the community to help individuals and families on their journey to self-sufficiency on an as needed basis.

 We are also in business to provide a return to our investors whose commitment of funds allows us to acquire and build suitable units of housing to help meet community needs.

How to to apply for an apartment with SCS:

 Please download and print an application.  Call one of our Housing Representatives for an appointment when you have completed the application.  Please bring your completed application with you at the time of your interview.  Thank you!!

Charlestown Senior Housing-

20 one-bedroom apartments for seniors (age 62+) located in a rural setting.  Amenities include an elevator, on-site laundry room, community room, off-street parking, and mail delivery.  All apartments are Section 202 subsidized and include all utilities, trash removal and snow removal.  Applicants must be income eligible.

 

Drewsville Carriage House Associates-

A beautiful, old mansion converted to five (5) two and three-bedroom apartments. Drewsville Carriage House is on the National Register of Historic places.  The apartments have large rooms with the original fireplaces (non-operational) and woodwork.  There is an on-site laundry, playground and off-street parking.  Heat and hot water, trash removal and snow removal are included with the rent.  These apartments are not subsidized, but Section 8 vouchers are accepted.  Applicants must be income eligible. SCS Head Start operates a center on the site in a separate building which was once the “Carriage House” for the house.

 

Keene Highland Housing-

 

 

Keene Eastside Housing-

One and two bedroom apartments for seniors (55+) located in a converted mill close to downtown Keene NH.  Amenities include an elevator, laundry room, community room, and sitting rooms on each floor.  All utilities, trash removal and snow removal are included in the rent.  These apartments are not subsidized, but Section 8 vouchers are accepted.  Applicants must be income eligible.

 

Hinsdale Housing-16 apartment units-

One, two and three bedroom apartments on Main Street , across from the Community Center.  On-site laundry and playground.  Heat and hot water, trash removal and snow removal are included with the rent.  These apartments are not subsidized, but Section 8 vouchers are accepted.  Applicants must be income eligible

 

Troy Housing-27 apartment units (12 family, 15 senior 55+)-

Three large houses on Troy Common converted to (16) family one, two, three and four bedroom apartments.  On-site laundry room, parking and a playground.  Heat and hot water, trash removal and snow removal are included in the rent.  These apartments are not subsidized, but Section 8 vouchers are accepted.  Applicants must be income eligible.

(15) one-bedroom apartments for seniors (55+) located on Water Street.  Amenities include 2 laundry rooms and a community room.  All utilities. trash removal and snow removal are included in the rent.  These apartments are not subsidized, but Section 8 vouchers are accepted.  Applicants must be income eligible
